Biographical Note: Scott Simpkins

Scott Simpkins, Associate Professor of English at the University of North Texas, has published or forthcoming essays on Romanticism, modern literature, and semiotics in journals such as Semiotica, Versus: Quaderni di studi semiotici, the European Romantic Review, Reader, Twentieth Century Literature, Comparative Literature Studies, Style, and the James Joyce Quarterly. He is editor of Studies in the Novel and a section editor of The Semiotic Review of Books. He is currently preparing a book-length study on the English Romantics' representations of stigma.
